Behind The Clinic

Privacy Policy

We try to keep this readable. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have.

Last updated: May 31, 2026

What we collect

We collect preference information you provide, such as practice type and features you're looking for, your ZIP code, and a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser. We do not collect your name, email address, or any health history unless you choose to provide it.

How we identify visitors

We use a randomly generated identifier stored in your browser, either through a Supabase anonymous session or localStorage, to recognize return visitors and save your preferences between sessions. This identifier is not linked to your real identity.

Third-party services

Our product analytics are first-party and do not use an analytics cookie, a persistent visitor ID, or Google Analytics. Google Ads, when enabled, may set cookies to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's ad settings.

Data sharing

We do not currently sell your personal information. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide you with the ability to opt out before any such sharing occurs.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. We do not sell personal information at this time. To exercise your rights, contact us at behindtheclinic.contact@gmail.com.

Washington residents (WMHDA)

Washington residents have additional rights under the Washington My Health Data Act. We treat ZIP-code-based preference data from Washington residents as consumer health data. We will not share or sell this data to third parties. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at behindtheclinic.contact@gmail.com.
